Two Star Status Eludes DA Kim Ogg
The McDonald’s at the corner of Westheimer and Commonwealth in Houston earns 3.7 stars on Google Reviews. The Holiday Inn near the courthouse garners 4 stars. Even the dentist a few blocks away from Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg’s office locks down 4.6 stars, and that guy literally pulls out your teeth. Still, Kim Ogg can’t crack two star status—earning 1.5 stars across 184 separate Google reviews.
Adam Harrison, a Houston-area resident who has earned Google’s prestigious “local guide” badge, is something of an inflated grader when it comes to Google Reviews. He gave the Wendy’s on El Camino Real five stars because they “always got my order right” and “employees are always very nice and helpful.” He awarded a local children’s barber shop five stars— “Absolutely amazing”—for having “a small TV set up in front of each station to distract your little one [and] seats that are vehicles to pretend they're driving or flying.” He gave Home Depot four stars as a downgrade after the company “got rid of their military discount” program that allowed veterans to show their ID to the cashier to save on purchases.
But Mr. Harrison could only muster one star for Kim Ogg—“Absolute waste of taxpayer money. If you are the complainant (victim) you will not get any justice … a complete joke.”
He’s not alone:
“We were car jacked several weeks ago … Some woman from the DAs office left a message to call her back and didn’t leave a name. We called and the receptionist was extremely rude and could not connect us to anyone. Our tax dollars are paying this useless bag of bones to do zero.”
“Very rude, unprofessional, and … HATES the Police.”
“A disgrace … the reason crime is infesting our county.”
“Recommended probation” for “Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna [after she] attempted to kill another young lady with a knife and [] left this young lady permanently disabled.”
“It’s difficult to give this clown 1 star: Ogg needs to be recalled…”
Houston Watch reached out to Ms. Ogg to ask about her plans for turning things around and reaching two star status this year. She declined to provide a response.
