Ogg Sought Pay Raises For Top Brass, Then They Donated To Her Campaign
Emails obtained by Houston Watch show that in mid-August 2022, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg asked the county for raises for the most experienced members of the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, including the members of her leadership team. Under the request, Ogg’s top deputies would cost the county roughly $6,000 in additional compensation per person per year.
Ogg’s October 2, 2022 campaign finance reports reveal that ten members of her senior leadership team made donations just weeks after the requested pay hikes.
